Do you only have one wish? Take your best swimsuit and walk to the most beautiful summer beaches in the world. Yes but there you go, you don’t know which ones to choose? So follow us, we’ll tell you everything about the most visited beaches in the world.
Finally, I should rather say “Discovering 10 of the most beautiful summer beaches”! Establishing a top 10 of the most beautiful summer beaches in the world is an almost impossible mission!
There are so many, everywhere, that we could make a top 100! What did I say? A top 100! It is that they make us dream, these turquoise waters bordered by paradisiacal beaches of white sand, true landscapes of postcards.
But never mind! I’ll take you on a little round-the-world trip to discover magnificent summer beaches. Some countries, like Thailand, could be the subject of a top 10 of the best summer beaches on their own, but I have decided to present ten to you, scattered around the world.
Long Beach, Vancouver Island – Canada
Long Beach is the most visited beach and accessible summer beach of the three regions in the magnificent Pacific Rim National Park. It is made up of the coastal region from Tofino to Ucluelet on Vancouver Island which is famous for its pristine summer beaches, rainforests, and abundant wildlife.
This natural treasure is recognized by UNESCO as a biosphere reserve, and large areas of the coast are protected by national and provincial parks.
Long Beach is the longest sandy beach on Vancouver Island in Canada and offers breathtaking panoramic views and unparalleled maritime wilderness. Its 10 miles (16 km) of pure sand are backed by lush tropical forests and lapped by cool, strong surf. Twenty thousand gray whales migrate along this coast each spring and summer.
Yasawas and Mamanucas, Fiji
Who doesn’t think of Fiji and associate it with postcard summer beaches? Well, this year we checked. Fiji is a spectacular and the Most Visited Beach. The crystal clear water, white sands, palm trees, sandbanks, and lots of nature and marine life, as well as such a special culture, make this destination a dream destination for almost any traveler.
Located 5 hours from Australia and 3 from New Zealand, they make it possible to find islands and beaches where you are practically the only one there. I leave you with the photos so that you can decide if we are right to include these islands in the count or not.
Tulum, Riviera Maya – Mexico
Not many tropical beaches can claim to have archaeological ruins on their shores. This place is one of the best beach experiences in Mexico as it contains the Mayan ruins of Tulum (an ancient walled city sitting on a rocky cliff) with underground caverns filled with water and biological reserves.
Ancient Mayan ruins overlooking Tulum’s white-sand beaches and turquoise water are just a two-hour drive north or about 80 kilometers south of Cancun.
The Bahamas already sounds like a paradisiacal and The Most Visited Beach. And it is that these islands in the middle of the Caribbean are characterized by that: neither more nor less than paradisiacal beaches wherever you look at them.
Our favorite, and that for us enters the count headlong: Exuma. The Exuma Islands are a paradise for lovers of beaches and tranquility.
Its beaches not only offer turquoise waters, white-white sand, and tons of marine life, but they also offer peace and tranquility. A zero-crowded destination that is almost the definition of paradise.
Do you want another reason? This is where the famous swimming pigs live! You can visit them on Pig Island, from Great Exuma there are tours that take you to see this island and its curious inhabitants.
Maya Bay and Monkey Beach, Phi Phi Islands, Thailand.
Thailand is one of our favorite countries not only in Southeast Asia but in the world. The country of smiles has it all, and among that all, there are of course the summer beaches. We couldn’t stay with just one, so we chose two, both on the Phi Phi islands.
Maya Bay, the famous beach from the Leo Di Caprio movie (now closed to tourism until further notice) is one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen.
Here we no longer only talk about the color of the water, the sand, or the marine life. Maya bay has an environment that makes it unique in the world, and by looking at the photos you will realize why.
But while this is the gem of Phi Phi, do not despair, because although it is closed the islands offer many other incredible and unique beaches, such as Monkey Beach. A beach with turquoise waters and full of friendly monkeys that live there. A beach that you cannot miss on your trip to Asia.
Hanauma Bay, Oahu, Hawaii, USA
You say Hawaii, and right away you think of summer beaches. Yes, it is true, most of the summer beaches in Hawaii are beaches with a lot of waves, but there is something for all tastes. The landscapes are impressive, with huge mountains and impossible green volcanoes emerging from the water.
Our favorite beach? We could mention several, such as Lanikai or Waimanalo, but if we have to choose, we choose Hanauma Bay, on Oahu.
This beach not only has calm waters, but it offers a beautiful landscape and a viewpoint at the top that will leave you speechless. As if this were not enough, being an ancient volcanic caldera this is the best place on the island to practice snorkeling.
Jericoacoara beach in Brazil
Jericoacoara is located in the northeast of Brazil not far from the desert of lagoons which had been the trigger of our travel project in Brazil: the national park of Lencois Maranhenses.
A desert that shelters small isolated villages like Atins or Jericoacoara is a little more frequented where one does not circulate and one walks only in the sand. Time seems to stand still in Jericoacoara. Nobody really looks at their watch but rather at the sun …
During the day, the favorite activities of travelers are kitesurfing, horseback riding, all-terrain vehicle rides, hiking, and sunbathing. Every evening, the ritual of locals and travelers is to climb to the top of the sand dune which dominates the entire village and the bay and observe the sunset, a caipirinha in hand…
Anse Source d Argent, Seychelles
Possibly one of the most photogenic places in the world and the Most Visited Beach, it is known for being one of the best beaches in Seychelles. Wrapped in pure white sand and covered in large swirling granite rocks worn by time and weather, it grabs your full attention the moment you see it.
An offshore reef provides protection against the waves of the Indian Ocean, making its blue sea an ideal place for swimming. On this beach, you can see endangered birds and even giant tortoises.
Whitehaven Beach, Queensland – Australia
Whitehaven Beach is protected by the Whitsunday Islands National Park and is located in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef (the largest coral reef in the world). This beach stretches for 4.4 miles (7 km) and is washed by swirling turquoise, blue and green water, it is one of the most unspoiled and beautiful beaches in the world.
The sand is 98% pure white silica (a mineral compound), which gives it a bright, almost luminescent color and also makes the sand not retain heat, making it a great place to walk barefoot, even on a hot day.
Navio Beach, Zante – Greece
Navagio Beach is the Most Visited Beach and a secluded but strikingly beautiful sandy cove on the Greek island of Zante or Zacinto in the Ionian Islands of Greece. The area is defined by its rugged limestone cliffs, white sand beaches, and crystal clear waters that attract thousands of tourists each year.
The beach strip is only accessible by boat. Being famous for being one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, originally, Navio Beach was known as Agios Georgios and later as the “Shipwreck Beach” since it is home to the wreck of a ship known as Panagiotis and is considered as the ship of a smuggler.
